JoQuote hosts quotation, booking, job-tracking and payment pages on behalf of the service businesses that use it. If content on one of those pages is unlawful, infringing, misleading or impersonates someone, tell us and we will look at it.
How to report
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Abuse report”. You do not need a JoQuote account, and you do not need to be a customer of the business concerned.
What to include
- The exact URL of the page or image you are reporting.
- What is wrong with it, and why.
- If you are reporting an infringement of your rights, what your relationship to the material is — for example that you own the copyright, or that you are the person shown.
- How we can reach you.
- A statement that the information you have given is accurate, and that you are authorised to make the report.
What happens next
We acknowledge it
We aim to acknowledge a report within two business days.We may withdraw the content while we look
If a report is credible, we can take the business's public pages offline while we investigate. This does not suspend their account, and it does not cancel their subscription — it only stops the content being published. We do this rather than leave obviously harmful content up for the duration of an investigation. We tell the business
The business concerned is told that content has been withdrawn and why, so that it can respond. We decide
We remove the content, restore it, or restore it with changes. We tell you which, and why.
What we cannot do
We can only change what JoQuote publishes. We cannot remove a copy that someone else hosts, and we cannot remove a page from a search engine's index or a third party's cache — those are controlled by the search engine, and removing our page does not remove their copy of it. Every business that publishes through JoQuote accepts that in the terms it agrees to.
If the material is a copy hosted elsewhere, the host of that copy is who you need to contact.
Reporting a security problem
Reports about the security of the platform itself are welcome too — send them to the same address with the subject line “Security report”. Please do not test a vulnerability against a business whose data you do not own.
This page describes our procedure for reports from the public. The obligations a business accepts for the content it publishes are in our Terms of Service.
