Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 14, 2026

JoQuote ("we", "us") provides quote-to-cash software for service businesses: estimates, scheduling, invoices, crew payouts, reimbursements, and a mobile field app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

  • Account information — business name, contact details, and user accounts (name, email, phone) for you and your team.
  • Customer data — the records you create about your customers: contact details, service addresses, estimates, jobs, invoices, notes, and photos.
  • Field data — job photos, checklist results, signatures, and notes, together with the addresses you enter. We do not send those addresses to a mapping or location service. JoQuote does not track the location of your team's devices.
  • Payment information — payment method details are collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe). JoQuote does not store card numbers at all — neither full numbers nor partial ones — and records only how a payment was made (for example "card", "cash" or "bank transfer").
  • Usage data — device information and log data, which we use to operate the service, diagnose faults and protect against fraud and abuse.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and support the JoQuote services.
  • To process payments and payouts on your behalf.
  • To send service-related communications, such as booking confirmations and payment notifications.
  • To diagnose faults and protect against fraud and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Sharing information

We share information with service providers that help us operate — hosting, file storage, email delivery, payment processing, and the accounting provider you connect — under confidentiality terms. Data about your customers is visible to your own team through the services. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies only where the service needs them: to keep you signed in, and to remember your preferences such as your language. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, though you cannot stay signed in without them.

Data retention

We retain account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, everything your business put into JoQuote is permanently erased: customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, notes, photos and other uploaded files, together with your team members, mappings and settings. Deletion is irreversible and JoQuote keeps no copy — no backup and no archive. You must export anything you want to keep before confirming; JoQuote cannot restore a deleted account.

Third-party connections are revoked, not merely forgotten. If you connected an accounting provider, the access and refresh tokens JoQuote stored for it are revoked at that provider (so JoQuote disappears from your connected applications there) and then deleted. If you connected Stripe, JoQuote turns off transfers for the account, deletes the connection settings it held, and stores no card details. Reconnecting later means authorising from scratch.

What survives a deletion, and why: records of the subscription you paid for, so we can meet our own tax and accounting obligations (these contain no customer, job or payment data), and a reservation of your public address so nobody else can claim it.

Security

We use safeguards including encryption of data in transit between your browser and our servers, access controls, and error logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing.

Who to ask depends on whose information it is. For your own account — the details you gave us when you signed up, and your use of JoQuote — we are responsible. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. For information about your customers, the business you dealt with is responsible for it and we only process it on their instructions, so please contact that business directly; if they ask us to act on your request, we will help them do so. If you are not sure who to contact, email us and we will point you to the right place.

Children

The services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.
